Excellus BCBS Holds Toy Drive to Benefit Children at MVHS’ Hospital and Clinics

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) and Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) want to make doctor visits a little less scary and a lot more fun for young patients. Throughout the month of April, Excellus BCBS is collecting new toys, games and other kid-friendly goodies that will be given to children and young adults who visit MVHS’ Wynn Hospital and clinics throughout the year.

WHAT TO DONATE:

While any donations are appreciated and accepted, the following items have been identified as the most useful in creating a more welcoming space for kids

· small stuffed animals

· puzzles

· coloring books (small ones are best)

· crayons

· colored pencils

· teen coloring books or coloring pads

· small toy cars

· small toys, including “Paw Patrol” and “Disney” characters

WHERE TO DONATE:

Items in new and unused condition with tags or in original boxes can be brought to the Excellus BCBS Resource Center of the Mohawk Valley at 62 Kellogg Rd in New Hartford, Monday-Friday, 9 am-4:30 pm.
